Our ethos is to provide something unique and hand made
of long lasting quality in this age of massproduction and throw-away. The idea of rescuing pieces of furniture which have travelled long in time and distance is very appealing. The quality of wood and workmanship that was once commonplace can still be found in the furniture we provide without it being too expensive.

We have a background in art and design, furniture making and restoration. From this mix a new working method has emerged which we like and which is also enjoyable for our customers. We have finished furniture for sale in the shopfront but over the time discovered that some customer interest would also 'stray' to raw unrestored pieces in the back of the shop. This has led to more collaborative effort where we offer ideas and choices and our clients are pleased to be part of this process. This can include choices of handles, escutcheons, locks, feet and most importantly the finnish.
We are familiar with the tones of Farrow & Ball and can help to find the right colour for your chosen piece of furniture - taking the rest of the interiors of your house into consideration. We can provide all paint finishes from simple flat to heavily distressed and also traditional waxed and polished looks. We also try our best to source specific items to fit in situ, not just the type of furniture that is required, but also taking limiting dimensions into account such as a dresser or a wardrobe to fit in a narrow alcove or a table which is oversized or undersized depending on available space.

Furniture for children has become a large part of our service recently. Small antique wardrobes and single romantic sleigh beds painted in the right hues look absolutely lovely and unique in nurseries. We can fit the inside of the wardrobe with removable extra shelves and rails to accomodate the needs of your growing childs. Please come and see our portfolio for recent works to get some ideas.
